Open with your password

  1. Press START.
  2. Enter your current password. The initial password is 123456 if it has not been changed.
  3. Press START again to confirm.

Hide the password display: press START twice for security mode. The manual also lists START as the cancel control for a password entry in progress; complete a correct entry with START as shown above.

Incorrect password

Err-03 means the password is incorrect. Five consecutive incorrect passwords trigger a 3-minute alarm. Press START and enter the correct password to stop it, or wait 3 minutes for that alarm to stop automatically.

Secure the door after use

Close the door carefully and return the fitted key/handle to its locked position. Check that the door is secured before leaving the safe. Do not force the handle or key if the mechanism does not move correctly; use the troubleshooting guide and contact the purchase store if necessary.

4. Changing the password

The password section states that 4–20 digits can be used, while its step illustration specifies a 6-digit new password. The procedure below follows that 6-digit example, which is within the stated range. Confirm other lengths with the purchase store if needed.

Keep the door open throughout setup and testing.

  6. Test the new password with the door open before closing the safe.

The manual states that the safe can have one or two passwords, but this PDF does not show the second-user selection sequence. Contact the purchase store for the procedure applicable to your unit.

If setup times out, repeat it promptly. The troubleshooting guide instructs entering the password within 5 seconds. For keypad or button faults, contact the purchase store.

5. Replacing batteries

Use four 1.5 V AA alkaline batteries. The manual instructs replacing all four at the same time.

When to check or replace them

For no response, also check battery direction and whether keypad lock is active. Contact the purchase store if the problem continues.

The alarm has separate batteries: three 1.5 V AAA alkaline batteries, rather than the safe's four AA batteries.

8. Using the alarm

The alarm is shown inside the door. Use its ON/OFF switch to control it. The manual specifies three 1.5 V AAA alkaline batteries for the alarm.

The incorrect-password alarm is covered separately in troubleshooting: five incorrect password entries trigger an alarm for 3 minutes. Press START and enter the correct password to stop it, or wait for that alarm to stop automatically.

9. Anchoring the safe

  1. Check the actual anchor size and the drilling requirements before making the hole in concrete.

  4. Remove the nut and washer.
  5. Position the safe so the anchor passes through the centre hole in its base.
  6. Fit the washer, lock washer and nut, then tighten.
  7. For a fire resistant safe, fit the supplied cover over the hole, as directed in the manual. The bolt may need to be cut.

The original instructions mention a 14 mm wrench. Have the installer confirm the tool size against the actual nut and anchor supplied with your model.

11. Frequently asked questions

Do I press START after the password?

Yes. Use START → current password → START, then operate the key and handle within the opening time.

What length should my new password be?

The text permits 4–20 digits, while the illustrated setup uses six. This page follows the six-digit example. Confirm other lengths with the purchase store if needed.

How do I set a second user's password?

The manual says one or two passwords can be programmed but does not show the second-user sequence. Ask the purchase store for the instructions for your unit.

How many times do I scan a new fingerprint?

Twice: scan once, then again at the repeat prompt. Test each newly registered fingerprint with the door open. Up to 10 can be saved.

Does beep setting 0 mean ON or OFF?

The supplied diagram only says to choose 0 or 1 and does not label their meanings. Check the result with the door open or ask the purchase store to confirm.

Are the safe and alarm batteries different?

Yes. The safe uses four 1.5 V AA alkaline batteries; the alarm uses three 1.5 V AAA alkaline batteries.

Why is the troubleshooting table first in the PDF?

The PDF is arranged as print spreads. Its first page has the troubleshooting table on the left and the AEGIS cover on the right.
