2. Keypad & parts

The manual shows several keypad and handle designs. Locate the controls that match your safe before following the steps below.

Four keypad and handle designs from the original manual, showing START, the display, numeric keys, handle, key, battery cover and cover hooks.
Keypad and handle variations shown in the original PDF, page 3. The key operation applies to models fitted with a key.

3. Opening & locking the safe

Open the door

  1. Press START. The screen displays ------.
  2. Enter your 6-digit password. The factory password is 123456. When the password is accepted, the display shows OPEn with a beep.
  3. Open within 3–4 seconds. Operate the handle and/or key for your model. For a model fitted with both, turn the key counter-clockwise, then turn the handle clockwise and open the door.

Hide or cancel an entry

For security mode, press START twice before entering your password to hide it on the display. To cancel a password entry in progress, press START.

If the password is rejected

Err-03 means the password is incorrect. Five consecutive incorrect passwords trigger an alarm for 3 minutes. Press START and enter the correct password to stop it, or wait for the alarm to stop automatically.

The screen says OPEn, but the door will not open?

The batteries may be low even when the green light is on. Replace them and check the handle/key direction. If the problem continues, contact the store where you purchased the safe. Do not force the handle.

Close and lock the door

  1. Close the door carefully, keeping fingers and objects clear.
  2. Return the handle and/or key to its original locked position.
  3. Confirm that the door is properly closed and locked before leaving the safe.

4. Changing or adding a password

Keep the door open throughout setup and testing. Do not close it until you have confirmed that the new password works.

  6. Test the new password with the door open. Close and lock the safe only after the test succeeds.

If setup times out: repeat the procedure without pausing between entries. The troubleshooting section of the original manual instructs you to enter the password in under 5 seconds. If the keypad or memory button does not work, contact the store where you purchased the safe.

When to replace them

Replace the batteries immediately if any of the following occurs:

Replacement procedure

  1. Locate and remove the battery cover shown in the keypad illustration.

  3. Refit the cover until it clicks into place.

  5. Confirm that the safe operates correctly with the door open before closing it.

The context of “good” matters. It is part of the normal startup sequence after battery replacement. When it appears with “beep beep” after password entry, the manual lists it as a reason to replace the batteries.

If the display remains blank, check battery direction and whether keypad lock mode is active. If the problem remains, contact the store where you purchased the safe.

Err-03 appears

The entered password is incorrect. Use the correct 6-digit password. If you have forgotten it, contact the store where you purchased the safe.

  3. If the door still does not open, contact the purchase store. The locking equipment may require service.

The password cannot be changed

10. Anchoring the safe

For models with pre-drilled anchor holes only. The safe is heavy; arrange professional assistance when needed. Install the anchor bolt in the floor before bolting down the safe.

Anchor bolts vary by model. Check the supplied hardware before beginning. The original manual lists the following metric sizes; confirm the drilling requirements for your actual anchor and floor with the installer.

Anchor size listed in manualHole diameter listed
M6 × 50 mm10 mm
M10 × 101 mm14 mm
M10 × 152 mm14 mm
  1. Check the anchor size. The manual specifies a hole depth of 50 mm (2 inches); use the appropriate hole diameter for the anchor.
  2. Insert the anchor bolt and anchor pipe into the floor hole.
  3. Fit the flat washer and nut. The manual specifies a 14 mm wrench to tighten the nut so the anchor expands and is secured in the floor.
  4. Remove the nut and washer from the secured anchor bolt.
  5. Position the safe over the bolt so it passes through the pre-drilled hole in the bottom of the safe.
  6. Fit the washer, lock washer and nut, then tighten.

The bolt may need to be cut. Fit the cover over the hole for fire resistance, as shown in the original manual.

No. Keypad lock mode remains active after battery removal. Hold START for more than 3 seconds until dEAct appears.

Why does the safe accept my password but fail to open?

Low batteries may cause this even when the green light is on and OPEn is displayed. Replace the batteries, check the handle/key direction, and contact the purchase store if it still will not open.

Where is the password-setting button?

The white memory button is inside the door. Open the safe using the current password before starting setup. See the button illustration and full procedure.
